this is a song i wrote for my sister in november. i gave it to her on her birthday, and if you know me well you know that i hate/cant keep gifts a secret, so this was difficult for me. it's written from her future husband(don't assume anything. nothing is in the works.)'s perspective to her on her wedding day. hence it's name.
Wedding song:
Yeah I'm tryin' to write a simple song about love
And I've come to the conclusion that it can't be done.
Distraction, this battle, has finally won,
But i found a, a word but only one.
That is you,
Baby that is you.
that is you,
Baby that is you.
And I'm tryin' to write a simple song about love
And I've come to the conclusion that it can't be done.
Distraction, this battle, has finally won,
But i found a, a word but only one.
And that is you,
Baby that is you.
That is you,
Baby that is...
You are the one I need; You mean everything to me.
And I could spend my life with you if only you would say i do.
I only ask one more chance; Give me one more wedding dance.
I'll be yours and you'll be mine and wouldn't things turn out fine?
And that is you,
Baby that is you.
That is you,
Baby that is...
You are the one I need; You mean everything to me.
And I could spend my life with you if only you would say i do.
I only ask one more chance; Give me one more wedding dance.
I'll be yours and you'll be mine and wouldn't things turn out fine?

Boy Fights Man
For most people, they cross it once
Most are happy to be done
For me, I’m not quite ready,
For the world is just so heavy,
Now its mine to carry on my shoulders,
I carry this bag; I know I’m getting older.
But I’ll say it once,
but never more
Man is fighting, losing.
Boy is winning the war
But im still afraid to cross this bridge
Into another land,
Im too afraid carry it now
Not ready for the other side.
Still a child at heart,
My imagination runs wild
But I’ll say it again
But only once more
Man is fighting, losing.
Boy is winning the war
Boy is fighting battles.
But man is fighting blind,
He’s ready for the future,
But the boy has the upper hand
The man is finally ready,
the boy’s not ready to be a man.
Boy is fighting these battles.
the boy’s not ready to be a man.
At the middle I see the end,
Of this bridge that I’m traversing
I carry the world with pride,
And I love this freedom,
But still a child at heart
Entering this kingdom far and wide
But I’ll say it again
But only once more
Man is fighting, winning.
Man has won the war
Boy is fighting battles.
But man is fighting by his side,
He’s ready for the future,
But the boy has the upper hand
The man is finally ready,
the boy’s not ready to be a man.
Boy is fighting these battles.
the boy’s finally fit to be a man.
Most are happy to be done
For me, I’m not quite ready,
For the world is just so heavy,
